Plants play a vital role in keeping the environment healthy and serving as the cornerstone of sustenance and medicine. Aegle marmelos, commonly known as bael, is a medicinal tree belonging to the Rutaceae family that is widely distributed across the Indian subcontinent. Various parts of the plant, including roots, leaves, seeds, flowers, and fruits, contain diverse bioactive chemical constituents such as alkaloids, terpenoids, tannins, coumarins, flavonoids, and phenylpropanoids. This review synthesizes current knowledge on the phytochemical composition and pharmacological properties of A. marmelos, including its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, antimicrobial, antiviral, antidiarrheal, and wound-healing properties. The summary highlights the plant's therapeutic potential as a renewable source for pharmaceutical agent discovery and aims to guide young researchers in future pharmacological applications
